Yoelvis Pedraza
Hi, my name is Joey, and I am a bilingual professional, Certified Personal Trainer, USA swimming coach, and entrepreneur. I have 25 years of experience as an athlete who knows the struggles of trying to balance work, education, and pursuing dreams of competing at a high level. My own athletic endeavors took me from Florida to Colorado, which became my training base for several years. While I swam competitively, I started to coach and take on personal training clients. Those clients shifted online during the pandemic and this allowed me to keep training them when I moved back to Florida. I have continued to work with my Colorado clients virtually and currently work with in person clients in Gainesville, Florida. This has helped me develop a multi-faceted approach to training along with the ability and skill to adapt to client needs.
Personal training is a holistic endeavor for me and I use a total body approach for each client. While most personal trainers focus solely on strength training, I add in mobility, stretching, massage gun use, and mental exercise as appropriate if it will support overall health and your goals. As a swim coach, I incorporate evidence-based training into your exercise routine on and off land. For beginner swimmers, I start with water comfort and build confidence and skills with each session.

​After a free one hour workout assessment, which can be virtual or in person, I can help you better understand your body positioning and how you can adjust it to enhance your workout performance. If you wish to work together further, I will provide you with a variety of personalized workouts incorporating dynamic techniques that adapt and accommodate to your fitness goals.
